How and Why We Obtain Information

- As with most other Internet sites, our web servers
record the IP address of each visitor to this site, but
not your e-mail address. The IP information is used to

this website more effectively, and to gather broad

obtained from this site through transactional activity
(for example, online donations or online shopping), but

fulfilled, to provide donation receipts, and to provide

send the visitor news about Sempervirens Fund's redwood
preservation projects or programs, and the projects and
programs of (only) selected other environmental
non-profit organizations. Visitors may opt-out of

the information under our control and to maintain the

credit card numbers are encrypted and cannot be

- This site provides two ways to opt-out of receiving
communications from us. First, by making it optional to
provide contact information at all, and
second, by offering several ways to modify or delete

- Sempervirens Fund cannot delete your name from the
data bases of other environmental non-profits with whom
we collaborate. But visitors can request that their
contact information not be shared with other
organizations (see below).
- This site contains links to other sites. Sempervirens
Fund is not responsible for the privacy practices or the
content of such websites.

request the removal of their personal information from our
data base, to opt-out of receiving future communications
from us, or to prohibit the sharing of their personal
information with other environmental non-profit
