www.lta.org -- The Land Trust Alliance promotes land conservation mostly by providing resources, leadership and training to more than 1,200 land trustsin the U.S., helping them to protect important open spaces.

www.openspace.org -- The Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District's purpose is to create a regional greenbelt of open space lands along the San Francisco Peninsula by linking District preserves with other public parklands.

www.openspacetrust.org -- Peninsula Open Space Trust (POST) is a land trust that seeks to acquire land on the San Francisco Peninsula for permanent protection as open space.

www.gazos.org -- The Pescadero Conservation Alliance performs land and habitat restoration, scientific research, and environmental education on the San Mateo coast.

www.openspacecouncil.org -- The San Francisco Bay Area Open Space Council is a forum in which public and private agencies can share information and work together to advance open space and conservation purposes.

www.scmta-trails.org -- The Santa Cruz Mountains Trail Association builds trails and promotes safe and responsible use of the trails of the Santa Cruz Mountains.

www.wildwork.org -- The Wildlands Restoration Team performs exotic plant removal and management to protect native plant populations.

3. REDWOOD PARKS IN THE SANTA CRUZ MOUNTAINS

www.cal-parks.ca.gov/central/santacruz/crsp404.htm -- Castle Rock State Park -- This park in the Santa Cruz Mountains will be expanded by more than one-third upon the completion of the San Lorenzo River Redwoods purchase. Maps can be purchased at Sempervirens Store.
