Government Agencies

Sempervirens Fund works with the following public agencies to help preserve the redwood forests of the Santa Cruz Mountains.

The California Coastal Conservancy acts with others to preserve, protect, and restore the resources of the California Coast.

The California Department of Fish and Game manages California’s diverse fish, wildlife, and plant resources, and the habitats upon which they depend, for their ecological values and for their use and enjoyment by the public.

California State Parks provides for the health, inspiration and education of the people of California by helping to preserve the state’s extraordinary biological diversity, protecting its most valued natural and cultural resources, and creating opportunities for high-quality outdoor recreation.

The California Wildlife Conservation Board selects, authorizes, and allocates funds for the purchase of land and waters suitable for the preservation, protection, and restoration of wildlife habitat.

The Lompico County Water District supplies fresh water from Lompic Creek to the Lompico community.

The Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District works to acquire and preserve a regional greenbelt of open space land in perpetuity; protect and restore the natural environment; and provide opportunities for ecologically sensitive public enjoyment and education.

The Santa Cruz County Department of Parks, Open Space and Cultural Services provides safe, well-designed and maintained parks, and a wide variety of recreational and cultural opportunities for our diverse community.

The San Lorenzo Valley Water District works to provide its customers and all future generations with reliable, safe and high quality water at an equitable price; to create and maintain outstanding customer service; to manage and protect the environmental health of the aquifers and watersheds; and to ensure the fiscal vitality of the District.

The San Mateo County Department of Parks preserves the County’s natural and cultural treasures, and provides safe, accessible parks, recreation and learning opportunities to enhance the community’s quality of life.

The US Bureau of Land Management works to sustain the health, diversity and productivity of the public lands for the use and enjoyment of present and future generations.

The US Fish and Wildlife Service works with others to conserve, protect and enhance fish, wildlife, and plants and their habitats for the continuing benefit of the American people.
